Excursions
Lanzarote is a fascinating island and there is much to see and do outside the resorts, a few of the excursions that can be booked during your stay are listed below:
Tour No. 1 - South Tour - Every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday (Half Day)
Take a visit to the Fire Mountains including a Camel ride. The tour then procedds to El Golfo to see the Green Lagoon and on to Los Hervideros and Las Salinas. Lunch is a typical Canarian meal taken in the pretty village of Yaiza. On to the wine growing region of La Geria to sample the local wine and then return to your starting point.
Tour No. 2 - North Tour - Every Tuesday and Saturday (Half Day)
Visit Teguise, the quaint old capital of Lanzarote, then on through Los Valles to the Valley of a Thousand Palms. Visit Mirador del Rio for marvellous views of La Graciosa and then on the Jameous del Agua and the Green Caves - an absolute must! Enjoy a typically Canarian lunch in the village of Haria, en route.
Tour No. 3 - Grand Tour - Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday (Full Day)
Visit the Fire Mountains and take a camel ride. On to Los Hervideros and Las Salinas, followed by a typical Canarian meal in the lovely village of Yaiza. Visit La Geria and sample the potent local wine, en route to Teguise, the ancient capital of Lanzarote. On to Los Valles and down through the Cactus growing area of the Island. An excellent tour, well recommended.
Tour No. 4 - Teguise Market - Every Sunday (Half Day)
The market is held in the picturesque old capital of Lanzarote, a pretty town of cobbled streets and old buildings. Choose from a wide variety of goods from a myriad of stalls, not forgetting to barter! This is a half day tour including some wine tasting.
Tour No. 5 - Volcan Grill - Every Wednesday and Saturday (Evening Tour)
An early evening excursions to the famous Fire Mountains. Tour through the Lava fields, watch the geothermal demonstrations and then enjoy a meal including wine and sangria in the famous "El Diablo" restaurant. Quite a magical experience as the colours of the setting sun play on the colours of the volcanoes. Entertainment by local musicians included.
